It's already August???

So I know I've been horrible at keeping this blog updated but here's my attempt! We went to my dad's family reunion in Daytona Beach, FL a few weeks ago. We went a day early and went to the Epcot theme park. It was suuuuper hot at one point but still fun! Jayda was soooo good, we couldn't have asked for her to be any better! Here she is watching the the little sparrows eat some bread crumbs in the grass at Epcot....she LOVES birds : ) She could have done this alll day.

I'm pretty sure this was in Germany, where we had the best Brats and Sauerkraut I've ever had.

Most of the fam at the reunion went on a dinner cruise on night. It was fun. Jayda loved being on the dance floor and groovin to the music.

This girl was RUNNING, well, crawling towards the water as fast as she could just about every other minute. Fearless.

We made a pit stop in KY to say hi to the fam and friends. G-pa Knight had fun playing the piano with Jayda. She would grab his fingers and "help" him play. It was so cute.

After being gone for almost 2 weeks it was SO nice to be home! Here she is with her breakfast alllll over her face. Yum : ) I know I sound like a broken record but she is just the cutest thing. We are so lucky to have her in our family!

Yes, I'm still alive : )

So it's been awhile but yes, I'm still alive! And kicking! Well, when I get enough sleep that night..... Anyway, my baby loves baskets. Enough to sit in them and look super cute : )

And she has 2 teeth! This is the first photo I have of them.... And she is crawling everywhere! She is FAST! She is learning how to crawl up the stairs which scares me but I am always there to help her! She pulls up on everything too. It's always so adorable when I walk into her room after her nap and she is standing in her crib and gives me a HUGE smile!!!

I shot a wedding this weekend and they tagged along with me since we would be gone most of the day. This is what I saw when I was done for the day! A hot, tired and sweaty baby!

Happy Easter!

So we had a 6 month old / Easter photo shoot this last week! My mom and I had so much fun dressing her up and posing her. My mom put one of my big pink flower headbands on her and it was so perfect we left it on! I couldn't have gotten those adorable smiles without Mom : )

Jayda has been doing great. She can almost sit up by herself completely and is getting stronger everyday. She has been eating rice cereal, sweet potatoes and is now onto avocados! She has definitely improved with her tummy time and can push all the way up on her arms now. She LOVES music and dancing. She is very vocal but also a good listener. She has so much personality and is such a happy baby. She keeps us on our toes and entertained all day. In other words, we love her soooooo much!!!!!

We made it!

We made it to CA! We are sooo happy here and are loving being near family and old friends. My bro, Michael, flew out to KY to help us with packing and everything. He flew home with me, Jayda and the 2 dogs....I couldn't have done it without him! In the meantime Pete and his Dad drove the UHaul and pulled our car behind it. They unfortunately got caught in that horrible snow storm in Flagstaff, AZ. They had to drive like 30 mph for about 6 hours or so since there was sooo much snow! I wish they didn't have to drive through that but I am sooooo glad we didn't have to drive through that with Jayda. Anyway, we all arrived home safe and sound!

We are pretty much settled for now and are going through some new stages with our cutie pie.

She's still not a fan of "tummy time" but she puts up with it for a little while if she has toys to distract her....She's getting stronger and reaching for everything!!! Once she's got hold of it then it goes straight to her mouth! She's also trying to sit up a lot more and can do a pretty good job with a little assistance.

Happy New Year

Hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Years. Pete was feeling kinda rundown New Year's Eve so he ended up going to bed at like 9:30...Jayda finally fell asleep just before midnight so I got to watch the ball drop in my bed with my hubby sound asleep next to me. Hahaha, happy new year??? So far we've been off to a good start. We are moving back to CA!!! Can't wait : )

Thanksgiving

I know this is a month late, but better late than never! We spent Thanksgiving with the Knights this year. Martha, Paul, and Aunt Linda came to town and spent the week with everyone! We had so much fun!
